Sharon, Jeff & Laurie and Daniel;
I wanted to express my sincerest condolences on your loss of your Husband, Father and Grand Dad Barry. I had the honor of working with Barry and Sharon on numerous modifications to your home in Dewitt a number of years ago and marveled at Barry (and Sharon's) interest in the arts and how much design was part of their lives. It was a real privileged to be able to help them both shape their dreams and I will always consider Barry (and Sharon) to be the best clients I have ever had the pleasure to work with.
Barry was a Renaissance Man of many talents and his evolution into a wine and spirits merchant was a treat to watch. He quickly established Liquor City to be simply the best place to shop for quality spirits. He left a positive mark on the Central NY Community that will be with us for a long long time. God Speed Barry Wishengrad, God Speed.

Sharon ~ I was so sad to learn of Barry's passing. He was so kind to me when he hired me to work at Church Drugs & Siegel's. I was so touched when he called me years later to ask about my interest in working with him again at Liquor City. My deepest condolences to you and your family. I worked with Barry, Sharon and Jeff, part-time at Liquor City, for a few years. There were never nicer people to work with. We became friends, and I was treated like family. Barry was genuinely a kind, caring and generous person. He took delight in that we shared the same birthday (not the year!). I have fond memories of Barry. I could feel my spirit sink when I read of his passing.

I grew up in Franklin Park and remember spending a lot of time at the drug store. Barry was very helpful and my Dad valued his opinion on many health related issues. He was a tremendous businessman and a nice guy. My condolences to his family.

Sharon, Jeff & family,
I am so sorry to hear the passing of Barry. My mother, Ruth O'Brien worked very closely with Barry in the pharmacy as my family member worked at Church Wine & Liquor. Mom talked often about her "early morning" calls before Jeff started school to your house. Barry touched my mother's heart with pride working along side of him for so many years. A friendship took place with your family and with my Mom and I know she met him at Heaven's Gate. May you all find comfort with your memories as I shared my memories with you. May Barry Rest In Peace.

Barry was an inspiration to work for at Liquor City. I remember many nights of talking to him and learning his business model and it has made me successful at what I do today. He was a businessman but the business conversation always came after him talking to me about my wife and kids because that was more important to him. I never met a more genuine man and role model. I will miss him dearly. Brian Shields
