My name is Dave Leidig. I grew up on Conewango Place in Warren. Julian and his brothers Paul and Gerry were all childhood friends and playmates. I knew his family and we all shared many good times together. My Dad was football coach and taught algebra. We did not often see one another here but we met at the Char Broil Restaurant a few years ago. I recall we also met at Kodak picnics at the 'old' Willowpoint Park as our children were growing up. I know he thought a lot of my Dad, was grateful for letter of recommendation written for him. He told me about his family. I mourn his passing and wish all the best to Lillian and his son and daughter.

Dear Lillian, Stuart, Evelyn and family,
We were so sorry to learn of Julian's passing! It was my honor and pleasure to have Julian as an instrumental part of my 20 year career as president/CEO of the Jewish Home of Rochester.
His wisdom and experience always guided and he was always be focused on our mission to care for our frail elderly. His keen understanding of the needs of aging, but still healthy seniors played a monumental part in the creation of the Summit at Brighton Retirement Community.
We also had many fun times together and especially so when the four of us attended an out of town conference. Also, our mutual love of sports resulted in our annual attendance to our local professional basketball team after my retirement.
One particular meeting I will always remember. I would periodically meet Julian at his office in the Kodak tower. We had thought it would be nice to have our secretaries ,who were constantly on the phone, meet in person for lunch.
As the two of us were making our way to Julian's office hundreds of employees were cutting a path for us with deep deferential looks on their faces
It wasn't until later that we learned that the new Kodak CEO and his wife were making their initial visit. (A true case of mistaken identity)
I will always be left with good memories of Julian, his contributions the the Jewish Home, to his Judaism, and to our larger Rochester Community.
So honored to be part of his life,
Arnie and Mary Jane Gissin

Dear Lill , Evie , and Stu
We share our love for Julian , with you , a love nurtured by friendship and common values. His capacity to find wisdom when it was critical defines his contribution to our Synagogue , the Jewish Home and to the many organizations he served.
One moment that we recall was sitting in our box at Red Wing Stadium as the sky darkened and the lights went on the top floor of KODAK Headquarters . Julian , with a sense of great pride , pointed to the window of his office on the top floor. It was a moment that reflected his sense of his accomplishment.
May his memory serve for a blessing.
Brad and Mort
