Dr. Yablin was myself, and both my brothers pediatrician growing up. There was not a finer man in that position and my family fully trusted him as they should. He came up in conversation tonight with my wife and I. My wife is Israeli and I was just telling her how my family had one of the best drs growing up that you could ask for. God bless him and the Yablin family.

Dr. Yablin was my doctor and then my mentor and then my colleague. His career inspired mine, and I became a pediatrician like him. I will remember him every day in my office because I weigh babies on the scale he gave me. It went from his office to mine when I opened my practice 25 years ago. And guess what, he weighed me on that same scale in his office 25 years before that! How's that for a continuum of Dr. Yablin's legacy!

I met Dr. Yablin when I began working at the Jewish Home in 2004. He made sure to make my acquaintance immediately. He has always been kind, gentle, encouraging, pleasant, dignified, and awfully smart! He's been a blessing to those around him. I'm glad to have known him, and will miss seeing him on my visits to JHR.

My memories of Dr. Yablin are filled with respect & kindness to me & my younger brother Peter Catalano. I'm now 68 years old, but I still remember babysitting for his children on occasion. He was the kind of caring doctor that came to our home when we were sick. Those times are long gone.
Peace to all his loved ones.

Dr. Yablin was a member of the Perinton Lay Clergy Council in the 90's, when I was a member. This was an interfaith organization that worked on many community projects together. Bud was an active member, who shared his insights and gifts with all of us. I will always remember his integrity, keen intelligence, gentle spirit and kind heart. It was an honor to serve with him and get to know Jo Ann and his children. My condolences to all of them.

My Doctor Yablin. Because life never ends I know you will have no part of resting. I will be happy to see you when my time comes to go home.
I owe you so much. You were there for my Birth in 1960, you took care of me in my young life. You brought me back to life in 1972 after I was pronounced dead for 4 hours at age 12. I owe God for my soul. I owe you my life. I hope you see how my life is filled with the joy of grandchildren, a joy I would have never known without you.

Bud Yablin introduced himself to me when I advertised the availability of my medical office, having been suddenly called up for active military duty during the Berlin crisis of 1961. I showed him the letter I received, and he pointed out I had been mis-classified as a general medical officer. This led to revocation of my call-up, and a resumption of my medical practice in Rochester. I will be forever grateful, and feel blessed to have known this fine man.

I would see Bud often at the computer terminal at the Home's library where he would keep up with the latest news and events. I first met Bud when we sang together with the Rochester Jewish Chorale. He enjoyed being a member of the Chorale, and we were sorry when he could no longer be a part of our group. Bud will be missed.

Dr. Yablin was my Pediatrician years ago. I remember him as being a doctor that I was never afraid to go see. He always gave excellent care. I am 38 years old now, and still remember his office at Perinton Pediatrics, and have many great memories of Dr. Yablin. He will be missed greatly.
