Obituary of Jerry R. Greenfield

Jerry R. Greenfield Pittsford: May 14, 2008 at age 76 surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his mother, Gertrude and father, Murray. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Maxene; sons Jeffrey (Johanna) Greenfield, David (Susan) Greenfield, and Derek Greenfield; grandchildren Lindsay and Mark Greenfield; nieces Paula Tantillo and Lisa (Michael) DeClerck, and nephew Steven (Rebecca) Spector; grand nieces and nephews, cousins, beloved lifelong friends, and caring partners, associates, staff and clients. Jerry was a graduate of Monroe High School, the University of Rochester and Cornell Law School. After serving in the US Army, he joined the firm which became Friedman and Greenfield, and which through a merger in 1984 became Chamberlain D’Amanda Oppenheimer and Greenfield. He loved the practice of law, and served his clients with dedication and distinction for half a century until just the week before his death. The family wishes to thank all who cared for Jerry at the Wilmot Cancer Center and Strong Memorial Hospital during his illness, with special thanks to Dr. Supriya Mohile, Dr. Timothy Quill and Dr. Deepak Sahasrabudhe, and to Lisa, Debbie, Teri, Christy and all of the wonderful, caring nurses. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 2 PM in the Main Sanctuary of Temple Beth El (139 Winton Rd. S.). Map to Temple Beth El. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. Following the funeral, a period of mourning will be observed at the Greenfield Residence, Sunday 7-9 PM & Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
