Obituary of Harold J. Slavny

Passed away on November 20, 2017, at the age of 85. Predeceased by his parents, Harry and Sarah Slavny. Survived by his loving wife, Harlene June Slavny; children, Laurie (Jim) Decker, Marc Slavny, Steven (Jill) Slavny and David (Leah) Slavny; grandchildren, Jennifer, Taurie, Zach, Gabby, Kayla, Adam, Kathryn, Sarah, Grace, Jackson and Justin; sister, Gloria Kaplan; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Special thanks to Marlene, Everette and Matt, the entire staff at 6 NE of The Jewish Home, and to Green House Cottage #3 Floor 2 for their excellent care. Also, a special thank you to Rabbi Shaya Kilimnick and Rabbi Avi Kilimnick of Congregation Beth Sholom.

Funeral Services will be held TUESDAY, November 21, 2017 at 10 AM in The Chapel of Brighton Memorial Chapel (3325 Winton Road South).

Interment, Britton Road Cemetery.

The family will sit Shiva at 188 Harwood Circle on Tuesday from 3 – 6 PM, Wednesday from 2 – 4 PM & 7 – 9 PM, Thursday from 10 AM – 1 PM, Friday from 10 AM – 1 PM and Sunday from 10 AM – 1 PM.
