Dear June, I am in Israel with Ellie who is due any moment. I am so sorry I can't attend the funeral or be at the shiva. Everyone loved Harold. He seemed pretty good last time we visited but you told me he said he was done. We will all miss him but your family will have a very big hole. You were truly the most devoted wife I've ever seen. Dear June and Family,
Harold and I worked together for over 30 year at Delco Products. Harold was a wonderful person and a great fellow worker. Even after retirement, we kept in touch and always enjoyed our phone conversations. I remember his detailed record keeping of statistics on baseball players. He was a great problem solver. We are so sorry to hear of his passing. We hold your family close to our hearts at this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear about the death of Harold Slavny. I remember fondly so many visits to the Slavny household. When I was young, Harold always seemed to be working on something, an engine, some unknown project in the garage. In most recent years, my visits centered around the kitchen. Harold's sense of humor as vibrant and young as his heart. I will miss him.
