Obituary of Bernard Hurvitz

Passed away on November 21, 2016, at the age of 95. Predeceased by his wife, Betty ; brother, William Hurvitz; and sister, Kathleen Hurvitz. Survived by his children, Susan Hurwitz and Marc (Jeri) Hurvitz; grandchildren, Jason Hurvitz, Leslie Hurvitz, Jayme (Laura) Hurwitz and Jennifer (Robert) Gelb; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Lena, Aaron and Ethan; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Bernie owned Rochester Independent Packers and Jewell Meat Products, which was his family business for over 80 years. Funeral Services will be held WEDNESDAY, November 23, 2016 at 12 Noon in The All Seasons Chapel of White Haven Memorial Park (210 Marsh Road). The family will sit Shiva today from 4-7 PM at The Summit at Brighton (2000 Summit Circle Drive). Donations may be made to Jewish Senior Life Foundation, The Jewish Community Center or Highland Foundation (Hospice) in Bernie’s memory.
