Obituary of James H. Biben

James H. Biben A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, passed away on September 6, 2014, his 22nd wedding anniversary, at age 78. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Augusta Biben; sister, Elaine Boehm; and brother Robert Biben. He is survived by his loving wife, Gail; devoted children Matthew (Ellen) and Douglas Biben; step-children Lara and Marc (Amy) Badain; three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Lewis (Beverly) H. Biben; nieces Barbara and Susan Boehm and Candy Scherer; and nephews Jeffrey, Gregory, and Bradley Biben. He was a proud graduate of Cornell University and the Cornell Law School, and an attorney in private practice in Rochester for over 50 years. A lifelong Rochesterian, he supported numerous local area charities and civic organizations. He was a lawyer’s lawyer; a dedicated husband and father; and a man of unwavering integrity and generosity who will be missed greatly. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 12 Noon in the Sanctuary of Temple B’rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Ave.). Internment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will sit shiva at Temple B’rith Kodesh on Wednesday, September 10th from 3-6 PM and on Thursday, September 11th from 10 AM –12 Noon.
