Condolences to the family. I noted our uncommon in-common name in my recent Cornell Alumni magazine. I believe Lewis Biben contacted me years ago when I was at the NIH, about possible relationship but found none. We are a Jewish family from Syracuse descended from Max Biben, immigrant from Bessarabia I believe. My father was Asher Heiler Biben and my mother knows nothing of his family. I am a Cornell alum as well.
The family will sit Shiva Wednesday, September 10th from 3-6 PM and Thursday, September 11th from 10 AM-12 PM at Temple B'rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Avenue.
