1950 was the year that I started to babysit for Al's 2 boys. My favorite time was talking to Al and Sarah about Israel. They taught me so much and enhanced my determination to be part of Israel's future. Working with Sarah at Social Services was another opportunity to learn more about the Lichterman family. Of course, the dances all over Monroe County, were the fun times with the Lichtermans. We renewed the conversations at the Butler's picnics. I feel more educated from my contact with the Lichtermans.
My deepest condolences to Al's family - may wonderful memories surround you and keep Al with you forever. I enjoyed square and round dancing with Al for many years. His dance partners will remember Al's "swing" - he could twirl for several minutes without getting dizzy!
