EILAT, ISRAEL -- On March 12th, here in Eilat, Israel where I live, I received this notice of my dear dear cousin Toby's death. Her passing is like uprooting a tree in the garden of my life. She was a strong matriarch, committed in her love for her family, her Jewish heritage, and the Eastman School of Music. Toby always included me in various events both religious and secular, whenever I visited Rochester -- the last time being over the July 4th weekend when we spent always too short, but quality, loving time together. I am so sorry that I am so far away, but nevertheless I extend my all-encompassing embrace to our entire family as we mourn this indomitable woman who served as a positive role model for me throughout my life. May her soul return swiftly to God's enveloping wings and the bright Shechinah. She is forever imprinted on my life, my spirit and my soul.
