Lou proudly served his country as a lieutenant in the United States Army during World War II. He owned and operated homes for mentally disabled adults, and patented the “Heimlich Helper" medical device. He was a champion handball player. Lou will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, and a caring friend. We will never forget our Dad’s devoted friends, Bill Opperman and Judy Dreesen. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Michelle Sterman, PA and the nurses and staff of the 3rd floor, East Wing of FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua for the compassionate care and support that they gave to our Dad and our family.
All are invited to attend his funeral service, TUESDAY, 12 NOON in the All Seasons Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park (Map to Cemetery).
