I was a long time collegue oh Howie at New Jersey Institute of Technology?Newark College of Engineering and am truely sorry to hear of his passing. I considered myself a friend and we often spoke of Howie affectionately. We did miss him when he retired.

So sorry to hear the news. Deena, I am 1200 miles away or I would be there. I knew Howie from our simultaneous postdoc years at Wisconsin (and afterward). Howie loved chemistry but always with a realistic, appropriately skeptical point of view. I liked that, and I liked Howie. I'll miss him. Mait

Howie lived a good and honorable life. He was a decent man, who was well thought of by his closest friend, relatives and aquaintences. He is sorely missed because he was Howie.

A period of mourning will follow at 1198 Edgemere Drive until 8:00 PM and also on Sunday 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM.

Service Info

Graveside Services will be held Friday, July 17, 2009 at 2 PM at Britton Road Cemetery.
