Obituary of Golde M. Hersch

Golde M. Hersch October 12, 2010 at age 93, peacefully surrounded by her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Abe; children, Norene (Larry) Green, Suzanne (Max) Offenberger, Robert (Tammy) Hersch and Ellen (Bill) Duchano; grandchildren, Andrew (Natasha) Cohen, Nancy (Kevin) Lewand, Tifany (Erik) Pedersen, Dahlia (Craig) Swerdloff, Ilana Offenberger, Riana, Alayna & Hannah Isabel Hersch, Sarah & Ben Duchano; great grandchildren, Nathan, Zachary & Justin Cohen, Natalie, Joey & Jonny Lewand, Katelyn Pedersen, Riley & Henry Swerdloff. She will also be missed by many relatives, neighbors & friends. She was the great Matriarch of our family. She was as strong willed as her heart was generous and she had boundless positive energy for all she loved. She was a founding member of Temple Beth David and very involved in many aspects of temple life. Golde was an exceptional Girl Scout leader for 27 years, ceramic teacher, avid gardener and she loved to sew. Her trademark was wearing beautiful hats from all over the world. She was an amazing, incredible woman, who touched so many people's lives and will always be an inspiration to us all.
