Golde Hersch was mother to three, and earth mother to countless young men and women trying desperately to find themselves during their teenage years. I know, I was one of them. “Mrs. Hersch” was a partial second mother, mentor, confidant, and mother confessor for me and was a constant source of sage advice and common sense. As an “honorary” member of her famous Girl Scout troop, we were taught how to respect young women, and most importantly, how to be respected.
Norene, Suzy, Robert and Mr. Hersch, please know that her memory will live on, and her legacy has manifested itself in the life lessons she taught me. Please accept my deepest sympathies bur be comforted by the knowledge that she was loved by many who mourn today.
