Please accept my condolences with Jeff's crossing over to the "Land of
Poet's Pride." I know that he was such a wonderful friend to you all -
what a beautiful person he was! Wow, and what a beautiful picture,
indeed, it's even more precious now - thank you so very much for sharing
it, though it made me cry again. You know, we all had a chance to say
goodbye to him because of Donna's announcement that Jeff would be on leave the rest of the year. For the first time, I had a very playful connection with Jeff in Phoenix. You know how reserved he usually is with us, he's always been friendly, but still a bit reserved. Well, after our concert, we were milling about in the hallway - Debra had stuck that note on his shoulder saying "kiss me" - I motioned to Angela and we kissed him simultaneously on his cheeks. He was very surprised, but he was so pleased as well - he simply glowed! Some time the next morning, I saw him in the back of the room with Barb, I believe but do not recall exactly with whom, and he caught me walking towards them. He had a big grin on his face and pointed to his cheek - I gave him another kiss and we had a
good laugh...
I hope you will tell me more stories about Jeff each time we meet, so that I may know him better and keep his memory alive! I am even more
determined to bring our energy medicine to everyone I touch and know that not only do I have Donna's and David's help, but I shall feel Jeff's spirit as well.
Much strength, love and light to all,
Alice

Like a lot of folks, we were patients of Jeff's. We were in our 20s when we started with him. We're now in our 50s. Our daughters, who were the subjects of many conversations with Jeff, are roughly the same age as his. We have too many fond memories of Jeff to enumerate them all, but Paul remembers one in particular. Jeff admitted to a guilty pleasure. He was a subscriber to a pamphlet of aphorisms entitled, "Bits and Pieces". It was full of pithy, folksy quotations, which were supposed to inspire positive thinking. He gave Paul a copy. Paul couldn't resist. He became a subscriber too. That was more than 10 years ago. We'll never forget him. He'll always be in our lives and hearts.

I just couldn't believe that this dear man..incredibly gifted doctor...has been taken from us. His family has always been the light of his life! and I, and my own family have been blessed with not only this gift but also the gift of him...as doctor...and beyond. When my husband (father to my kids)was battling pancreatic cancer, Dr. Harris offered his library...and his deepest caring. I and my family have been blessed with his smile, his depth of knowledge, his caring, amazing patience...and an incredible love for family and for vocation. What a tremendous loss for us all. Dear Mrs. Harris, Jennifer and Kathryn
Bob and I were so shocked and saddened to hear the news about your husband and Father. He was such a fantastic doctor and a compassionate, understanding man. He took care of my whole family, including my Dad, who does not like going to Doctors, he did, however, like Jeff very much, and would comment on what a nice person he was. We always loved talking about vitamins and alternative medicine, he was so gentle and sweet. Please accept our deepest sympathy and know that we will be praying for your family.

Oh Dear Jeff,
Where truly does one begin????????? I write to you, I write and begin rambling for me that I might have some closure and resolution. It is one thing to believe, to know, to think and still be left with such profound sorrow and anguish. I know you are free and are home, having finished your mission…. Boy I am blown away to another dimension as I can only figure the love and hearts of this organization has allowed me (us) to feel such levels of sadness and not drown in our tears and sorrow. What a community and you my dear, dear man have been the catalyst to expose our bond. Reading the emails has been an incredible journey. Had you any idea how much you were loved and respected, how many lives you enriched and impacted, how you made us all feel special? You have left huge footprints in the sands of time and now you have wings!
I love so many things about you-your sense of humor, integrity, wisdom, kindness, sensitivity, your capacity to be present and human. I’ll miss your jokes. You once told me that there had to be past lives because there wasn’t anything else to explain the deep connection and bond you felt with this group of people. It reminds me of my first time meeting Donna as the keynote speaker for the AskUs conference in Philadelphia and she said she wanted to meet her group of people. Donna graces this planet and has forever changed my life. Jeff you too graced this planet and my life will never be the same for having known you. Thank you………. Lisa Buford

Jeff made my life more precious because he showered my time with him with his radiant and wonderful energy. I so much enjoyed the full range of his mind, the gentleness and good humour of his expression. I will cherish him in my heart always --- his smile, his giggles and his lightness of being. Jenny, Liz and Katie, I feel he might have felt pleasantly out numbered at times with you, but he delighted in it and the telling of the lives of his girls. I found him to be a man of good thoughts and good deeds, inspiring, approachable on any subject, compassionate {with always a tweak or twist or two of mischief --- I loved that!} and a gentle man in his judgments, keen with his thoughts and open with his feelings. His untimely death has serve notice on this about to be 57 year old man to live more fully and to be engaged in every moment that I breathe. He did good work to care for my eyes these past 20 years, but he was much more illuminating when it came to how to live life. He was holistic as a physcian and as man, and I am certain as a husband and a father. Solace to you in your mourning and peace to you in your lives as they move forward. All of us hold his wonderful life in our cherished memories and in our lives as we move forward without his presence yet with his memory and his energy.

I am shocked and grieving at the loss of this wonderful man. I and my family have been patients of Jeff for many years, following him wherever he went. My office visits there were really getting together with a friend, never rushed and always compassionate. As a medical colleague, we always found some common interest to laugh about. We spoke with pride of our families, our careers, and even Jeff's pride in his family tree...he showed me his scrapbook one day as we searched for some connection between us. Jeff and I had a good laugh just this past Wednesday, 2 days before his passing...he called me to remind me to come see him for a checkup soon. I reached around for my calendar and when searching for a mutual date...I mentioned I couldn't see anything in the book as I couldn't find my glasses! We had a good laugh!
I and my family will truly miss him, his kindness and gentle way. My thoughts are with his wife and lovely daughters...I wish them strength and comfort. Sandy, Suzanne, Marc, and Brooke Mayer

I have been Dr. Harris' patient for so long I cannot remember when I first met him, and I have followed him as he moved to several different offices, despite the fact that his offices were always located quite a distance from my home and never really convenient for me--He was just that good. To say that I am stunned at the terrible news of his passing is an understatement, and I just cannot believe I will no longer sit in "the chair" and share stories and laughs with him. It is too much to comprehend. My heart aches for his family and all those who were close to him, as I know your pain is indescribable at the loss of this wonderful man. He was a gem.

The news of Jeff's departure came as a shock. He was always filled with such enthusiasm for life. My heart goes out to you, his family. Jeff was always so gentle, loving, and kind. I am happy that I had the privilege not just to meet him, but to come to his office to be "tested" for the Energy Medicine CP. He had a knack for making all whose lives he touched feel special.

Dear Jenny, Liz & Katie, I am so sorry for your loss.Memories of my association with Dr Harris have flooded my thoughts since I heard the terrible news. He was one of those key people you come across in your lifetime. I was a stay-at-home mom for sixteen years when I applied for a job with Dr Harris. I was a nervous wreck, inexperienced and out-of touch. He made me feel totally comfortable and assured me that my experience as a mom and housewife was more valuable than I gave myself credit for. He encouraged and supported me to get my Opticians license. It was a very gratifing experience working for him, and when he merged with Dr Reed, he made sure we were part of the package. Also, I will never forget the fabulous cruise he took us all on to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his practice. He was a generous, caring, and thoughtful friend. I will never forget him. I hope you can find some comfort in these tributes to his life. God Bless!

He was such a good friend and colleague in the world of energy medicine. He could always find a way to make me laugh, challenge my thinking in the realms of energy medicine and stay curious to what was around the corner in life. My fondest memory was the day he went with me to pick up my beloved puppy this past September out in WA state on Hood Canal --- he was a blessing in my life and I saw him do that over and over again with so many people. I shall always miss him and be grateful for what he taught me about how to live and love others for all their goodness overlooking what I would change if I could. He is the most amazing of people I have ever known and to have had that kind of friend goes beyond any words I could ever put together - except thank you, Jeff for being you.

Jeff introduced himself to me at our 1st Energy Medicine workshop to investigate the "Kemper" connection. Ironically, I am originally from Baltimore, as was Jeff's mom, and my family was well aware of the "other" Jewish Kemper family in our city, but somehow our paths never crossed. We always pretended we were cousins anyway--and always figured there must be some connection way, way back. My grief is as deep as I've felt for any family member who has passed. I wish comfort and strength to Jenny and the girls. Donna Kemper

Remembering with gratitude Jeff's warmth and caring as an Eden Energy Medicine Teaching Assistant. He was truly a "Radiant Circuit" whose self-effacing and humorous way of being was in balance with his wonderful, gifted mind. He made the wary and the tentative feel welcome and accepted. His contributions supporting energy medicine as a practitioner, a doctor and a heart-centered individual helped refine and focus a program that will continue to benefit so many into the future. We have every confidence he will be guiding us all from a new and beautiful place with the same compassion and attention to detail he shared with us on his earthly journey.
