Obituary of Barbara Mand

Barbara Mand Daughter of David & Lea (Miller) Szpilman, born in Lodz, Poland & survivor of the Holocaust, passed away on March 21, 2015 at the age of 94, 3 weeks shy of her 95th, peacefully with her loving family at her side. Predeceased by her husband, Herman & sister, Angie Suss Paull and other family in the Shoah. She is survived by her loving children, Laura Shifrin of Townsend, MA, Miki Mand & David (Iris) Mand of Rochester; grandchildren, Brian (Kristine) Shifrin, Jennifer (Philipe) Mabila, Danielle (Scott) Rogers & Pamela Shifrin; great grandchildren, Brayden, Charlie, Courtney & Ava; many nieces & nephews. Barbara & her husband Herman were the owners of Bodner Bakery on Joseph Avenue & many people still remember their smiling faces & wonderful pastries. Graveside Services will be held Monday, March 23, 2015 at 2 PM in Britton Road Cemetery. Click here for directions to the cemetery.
