I recently noted Dr. Lansky on my radio show and got to thinking of him. How his style in the classroom was enjoyable, and as a student in the 80's told him so. Then running into him again as an adult in the late 90's to re-introduce myself to this wonderful was a pleasure. Seeing he was still plying his trade each and every semester was inspiring. I still have my books from his class! Great loss!!

I would tell my husband this: I miss you so very much, but, I will see you again when I die. Jesus, our Savior, took the sting out of death when He died for the sins of the world. Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will be saved and all of their sins will be washed away. Lewis and I asked Jesus Christ to come into our lives. That is how we got saved. You can get saved too. Just say this prayer: "Lord God, I admit that I am a sinner and I need your salvation. I ask your Son, Jesus Christ, to come into my heart to enable me to live a righteous life, Thank you Lord Jesus for dying on the cross for all of my sins. Amen." My husband's favorite song was "How Sweet The Sound That Saved A Wretch Like Me. (Dr. Lewis Lansky & Brenda Lansky)

Lew was a friend for many years since his graduate school days at the Univ. of Rochester. He was always ready to help in a political campaign and particularly supportive of my children, Jennifer whom he visited almost daily when she was hospitalized and in hospice, Stephen whose campaign for Supreme Court he worked assiduously in as well as in other Democratic campaigns we were involved with and Joel whose comedy talents Lew early recognized and supported. Lew's interest and knowledge of American history was only one of his many facets and it was always fascinating to hear his views on current affairs. Lew was a loyal friend and much appreciated by my family.
