The joy and happiness that "Mr. Karch" the math teacher shared with all of us who were fortunate enough to have him as a math teacher was legendary. Imagine, a teacher a teacher in the 1960's who taught to each of his student's intellect; quite a contrast from the rigidity of our 7th grade math class. Then, to know Oscar as friends of my parents; always a kind word for everyone, patient, jocular, spreading sunshine to anyone who was near. No one left his presence without a smile.
Thanks you, Helen, and the Karch family, for sharing your husband, dad, and grandfather with us.
Moreover, the patience Oscar had with my son, Jeremy. Always patient, encouraging, he paved the way for Jeremy to feel accepted and connected to The Summit.
Oscar will live on in the hearts of all of us who were blessed to be the receipients of his warm heart and wit!
I know he is up above still smiling down on us all, free of pain, at peace. Somehow I think he is renewing old friendships and entering into another part of life...
B'Shalom,
Barb
