Although I only knew your mother for a short time, she left an imprint on my heart. I loved her humor, love of nature and her grace, (the dancer with in). I'd like to think I can learn to play scrabble as well as she did in her 90s. The love of healing hugs go to all of the family.

Dear Josh and family,
I'm so very sorry for your loss! Higa was a community treasure and we will all miss her very much. I'm grateful that I got to know her and your dad and that their voices will live on in Perilous Journeys on the web and the Rochester Holocaust Survivors' Archive.
May you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
