Dr Wagner was one of my favorite professors at RIT. As the Nuclear Medicine class of 1998, we had so many memories of his class. I’ll share one of my favorites. We had a big test before lunch and planned to go to McGreggor’s sports bar. His class was after lunch and we all decided we were just going to skip radiation physics. We told him that we were not going to be in class that Friday. He wanted to know why. After we explained to him our “college student,” reasons, his reply was “Can I park on a hill or do they have parking spots I can pull through?” His car did not have reverse. He came to the bar and we had class there. I’ve shared many memories of him. While looking up his picture to show someone how much he looked like Einstein, I learned of his passing. I can only imagine the loss his family feels, as I feel a loss of a great professor and unbelievably intelligent man. Jerry RIP.

Lloyd Gordon, Case, Class of 1964 - I am very, very sad to learn of Jerry's passing. I got to know Jerry ("Wags") very well during our senior year, 1963-64, at Case, when five of us took two adjoining apartments together off campus. Barry Berman and I shared one apartment, while Jerry, Steve Rosenthal, and Peter Berg shared the other, with various girlfriends coming and going. Essentially, we were all apartment-mates. I remember Jerry as a a kind, gentle, caring soul, soft spoken and a good listener. We cried together when President Kennedy was shot in November 1963, and we were all astounded as we watched the Beatles together on TV when they came to America in early 1964. Now Wags is gone, as is Steve and Barry, but their goodness still lives on.

We are so sad to hear of Jerry's passing.
The first time we met, Jerry was on a riding lawn mower that belonged to our neighbors, he was driving down Willowcrest Drive. I hopped in my car and gave chase thinking he was a mower thief. One can imagine my embarrassment when I found out he was Bobs dad.
We enjoyed our late night Wegmans run ins with Jerry and Kathy and were saddened to here he was ill.
Our deepest sympathy to all his family!

Jerry and I were college room mates our freshman year at Case (1960-61). We had several interests in common, including Kathy, physics, Sigma Alpha Mu and art. Over the next four years, he pursued the first and we, together, the latter three. Jerry, several fraternity brothers and I also share an interest in art -- unusual for Case Techies -- due to our charismatic art professor, Harvey Buchanan. We all retained that interest for years, as you can hear in our surprise visit with Harvey at our 40th Case reunion in 2004. see https://youtu.be/QVRZelslu7o There’s also a video of the last reunion that Jerry and Kathy attended (“Sammies at Case Reunion May 2009” - https://youtu.be/Ym5zSMJjymM )
After college, we both got married, earned PhDs in Physics and got our families together on occasions. I have fond memories of Jerry and family, and they are bolstered by photos of visits over the years. I’ll share some. Irwin Singer, 12June20
