I knew Hersch and Carolyn Bornstein as a longtime client of Davie Kaplan, CPA, PC. Hersch was always very friendly and a very talkative when he came in with his wife Carolyn and they were such a cute couple. He also was very helpful when one day I slipped off my chair and he rushed to see if I was Ok and to pick me up off the floor. I looked forward to their appointments they were very nice people. My heart goes out to Carolyn and her family at her loss of such a memorable man. My thoughts and prayers are with Carolyn and the family. Kim Rugenstein-Receptionist at Davie Kaplan, CPA, PC.

Carolyn and family. The obituary was so lovingly and beautifully written. Hersh was a really interesting man and it was always a pleasure to see you together. The love radiated. As you know my late husband also was a survivor and an employee of Richester Telephone. May the love you shared sustain you in the days to come.please include me in any future memorials.

Good afternoon,
I do not know Mr. Bornstein, nor any of his family.
However, I would like to express my thanks to them for sharing
his story in his obituary. I don't usually read the D&C obits as I live in
Yates County. This one, however,"jumped off the page".
Such a life. It would have been an honor to know him.
May God bless and comfort those who love him in these days of loss,
grieving and adjustment. Keep sharing his stories and his smile.
He touched my life through his death. So grateful to you.
Sincerely,
Lew Ann Giles

We included his experiences in the obituary as they are life lessons, and if people take the time to learn them, we can all make our world better. Be well. With gratitude, Hersch's Family

Dear Carolyn and family,
I'm so sorry to learn of Hersch's passing. He had such an indomitable spirit. I'm so sorry this happened in a time when you can't have community support because of the pandemic. I will think of him as I light a candle during tonight's virtual Yom Hashoah remembrance....
Sincerely,
Bonnie Abrams
