Went to UE with Barbara and shared lots of fun times. We were allowed lots of autonomy as "trusted" young women and had many adventures esp. at lakes. Was in Rochester when she arrived in 1956 and reconnected. Lost track of her when I moved to Boston in 1958. About 40 yrs,. later got back in touch at a reunion. We met up several times at our buddy Mary Shelton's family home and once an overnite in Rochester. Several attempts to travel together failed. I suspect she would have worn me out! What a woman. Hard to believe she is gone. Sad loss for family and so very many others.

To Linda and Bruce, Mel and I send our sad feelings about your mother, Barbara. We go way back to Temple Sinai where we shared many happy and interesting times. She was a good friend to the temple. I enjoyed seeing her at one of the many events that we shared interests in. She was a classy gal and a role model for living life to the fullest. I will miss her warmth, her cherry smile and enthusiasm for life. Ann and Mel Braverman

Dear Linda and family, words are not adequate to dispel grief, but I hope that they may be a balm. She was a mother, grandmother, and so many other roles in your lives, and I know that her passing will leave a hole in the fabric of your lives. In my faith tradition, we say, "To live in hearts that love is not to die." May your memories of her burn brightly, and bring you comfort.

I've known Barbara in many different capacities. She and Bob and I would connect when our children were young and teen-agers. We worked together at the Counseling Center at RIT. And we would in recent years see each other at Temple Sinai. I enjoyed her warm smile, her mellow voice, her keen intelligence and her wide interest in whatever the world offered her. She always asked with great interest about our family.
May her memory be for a blessing.

Very sad to learn of the passing of Barbara Phillips. She was a lovely person and one of my favorite ushers/supporters at JCC CenterStage because of her smile, positive energy and intelligence. May her memory be a blessing.

I’ve known Barbara for about 45 years. It was my pleasure and privilege to spend many occasions
with her. She was one of the brightest, funniest, honest people I knew. I will miss her. Please accept my sincerest condolences. A true light has gone out.

Dear Bruce, Linda and Family,
I am in total disbelief and am so saddened by Barbara's passing. She will truly be missed by myself and many others. WE did so many things together, concerts, ushering, Greek Festival, gardening , working at the Brighton Police Dept. She will be sorely missed and remembered with a smile for all the joy she gave me.
I am so sorry that I will not be able to attend her service and express my condolences personally. My hope is that I will be able to see you in the future. Much Love to you all. SHirley

Dear Linda & Family,
So sorry for your loss - especially in a time when community cannot rally around you physically to support you. May you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
Sincerely,
Bonnie & Loo (Laura)
