She nurtured her family, staying home when her children were young and later taught business courses at Bryant and Stratton in Rochester and at local high schools. Joan was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family, the sun and beach, tennis, water aerobics, cooking and baking, ballet, and travel. She enjoyed many wonderful trips, including the Far East, Australia, New Zealand, African safari, a cruise to the Greek Islands, Turkey, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Budapest, and Russia. She enjoyed her winters in Florida. She made friends easily, enjoying many social activities. Her bright spirit, kindness, and the sound of her laughter will be missed by many.
