Obituary of Jacob Krieger
He was the dear son of the late Louis and Dorothy (Felderstein) Krieger.
Beloved husband of Susan (Poze) Krieger. Devoted father of David and his wife Susan Musinsky, Michael Krieger, and Jeffrey and his husband Brian Curry Krieger. Loving brother of Gloria Foster and her late husband Stephen and Arnold Krieger and his wife Shirley. Cherished grandfather of Rebecca, Eli, and Nicholas.
Jack was born in Rochester, NY, where his parents and Susan's parents had all grown up. Aside from his time away for school, the two of them lived there nearly their entire lives. He was the first in his family to graduate from college, let alone medical school. He worked for many years as an anesthesiologist. He loved being a doctor, and formed strong relationships with patients, even though it was often based on only very brief conversations while they were still awake. Even after he retired, he was still the doctor in his extended family. He loved golf, music (he took piano lessons well into his 80’s), his children and their spouses, his grandchildren, and his wife. The last few years were difficult because of health problems, but that was far outweighed by the joy he experienced from their move two years ago from Rochester to Orchard Cove in Canton, to be near their children. The last few weeks of his life were some of the best he'd ever had, and he died peacefully, in his sleep. We should all be so fortunate.
Funeral services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington, Street, Canton on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 1 PM, followed by burial at Beit Olam East Cemetery, Wayland, MA.
