Obituary of Merrill D. Greenstein

Passed away on August 30, 2019 at age 78 with his family by his side.  He was predeceased by his parents Albert & Dorothy Greenstein; Judy’s parents Samuel & Beatrice Baron; Aunt Eleanor & Uncle Julius Shapiro.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Judy Baron Greenstein. His beloved family: Aunt Rina & Uncle Bernie Baron, Ken & Barb Baron, Bruce Baron, David & Christina Baron, Marc Shapiro, Harvey Shapiro & Michael Dager, Robert & Ilene Shapiro and many cousins. 

His nieces and nephews from love: Debra & Asa Altmark, Danielle Nusbaum, Adam Green, Zach Green, Kim Shapiro, Ali Kramer, Greg & Tracey Singer. 

His great nieces & nephews from love: David Altmark, Eric Altmark, Ari Nusbaum, Zach Nusbaum, Evan Singer and Jaden Singer. 

Our family runneth over with love and many dear friends, some of whom Merrill knew since grammar school: Ron & Eileen, Linda & David, Marilynn, Ronna, Jon, Beth & Dennis, Skip & Peter, Phyllis & Leonard, David, Jack & Loretta.

Merrill wanted to give special thanks to Rabbi Michael Herzbrun z"l who enticed Merrill to join Temple Emanu-El which enriched our lives and Dr. Eric Kramer for keeping him around as long as possible. Special thanks to Lifetime Care and Hildebrant Hospice for their wonderful care. 

Funeral Services will be held on TUESDAY, September 3rd at 11 AM in Temple Emanu-El, 2956 Saint Paul Blvd. CLICK FOR MAP In honor of Merrill's colorful personality please dress in colors of celebration for his service and period of mourning.  Interment will follow in White Haven Memorial Park CLICK FOR MAP. The family will receive friends on TUESDAY 6-8 PM and WEDNESDAY 1-3 & 6-8 PM at 367 Widgedon Landing, Hilton, NY 14468 CLICK FOR MAP.
