Passed away on August 17, 2019 at the age of 93. Predeceased by his first wife, Jeanne (Wallach) Schwartz; son, William Schwartz; parents, Max and Celia Schwartz; and siblings, Rose, Moe and Hyman. Survived by his wife, Irene (Pheterson) Schwartz; children, Ellen (David) Smith, Dr. Ronald (Deborah) Schwartz, Martin Schwartz; daughter-in-law, Sandra Schwartz; grandchildren, Lindsey (Jordan) Genut, Diana Danoff, Stephanie, Michael, Jonathan & Brigitte Schwartz, Lauren (Josh) Grondin, Lisa (Alex) Weber, great-grandchildren, Leeya, Gabriella & Eli Genut, Catherine Grondin, William & Weston Weber; many nieces, nephews & dear friends. 

Harold was a veteran of WW II and worked as a School Psychologist for the Rochester City School District for 36 years. He also worked at St. Joseph’s Villa, Depaul clinic, and taught at Nazareth College, Roberts Wesleyan College, and MCC, as well for the Bureau of Disability Determination, and for the State of NY Vocational Rehab.

Funeral Services will be held on FRIDAY, August 23, 2019 at 11:30 AM at Brighton Memorial Chapel, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd. S.). Click here for directions. Interment, White Haven Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at St. Johns Meadows-Chestnut Court (1 Johnsarbor Dr.) on FRIDAY from 2:30-5:30 PM. Click here for directions.
