My dearest EarlyBird: So many people came from near & far to attend your funeral to express their love & admiration for the kind, selfless mensch of a man you were. As Mike said, you were steps above mensch. Rabbi Mammon's eulogy and Amy's words read by Mike were beautiful. You would have been proud of how strong Shabe was throughout these past days, especially when he stood tall to shovel the dirt on your grave.. Our hearts are painfully broken. We all loved you so much. Know that the life example you set to be a truly good person will be an inspiration to us all. Business in Heaven is booming now.

I feel blessed and honored to have had such a warm conversation with Earl on the phone the night before he passed. He asked about my health, and we shared our common concerns about the state of world affairs. Earl kindly acknowledged that we may have differences of opinion regarding possible solutions. We both affirmed that friendship came above all else. He discussed his plans to retire and travel soon. Our call ended with Earl wishing me success in my search for happiness, and I wished him the same. As we got off the phone, he warmly said to give my wife, Kate, a hug.
I first met Earl at a fireworks convention in Gary, Indiana in 1988. Since then he and his brother, Steve, have been like brothers to me. It seems that their business name --"Cassorla Bros., Inc."-- may have a double meaning. They are not just brothers with each other but with everyone.
Much love,
Eric & Kate McCaskie

My condolences to the Family of Earl. Earl, the Rabbi captured the essence of who you were and how you were. As you know, I am not good with words like you. You always showed kindness and cared about me. Of course, I borrowed those words from you. You taught me how to be a better person. Thank you for everything. I am missing you everyday. I have videos of you from Florida and watch them, which brings a smile to my face. I am so incredibly thankful, that you were in my life. zikhrono. alav.

We picked up a bbq grill at a yard sale, oh what a deal!!! and then cooked up some steaks right outside the shop!

Heartfelt condolences to Steve and the entire family. In our life we meet so few people who are genuinely kind, caring and unselfish with their time giving to others. When Earl and Steve found out my parents were living at the same facility their dad Red was rehabbing at, they went out of their way to regularly visit. His goodness touched all that he met.

I first met Steve and Earl in the '70's when Steve was still in San Francisco. We enjoyed going to the Chinese New Year celebration with Randy and Michael Feldman, Orv Carlisle and others who enjoyed traditional Chinese fireworks. Since then we have met often at fireworks events, especially the Pyrotechnics Guild International conventions. When the conventions were held in Fargo, ND, Steve and Earl would always attend the pre-convention parties at my farm near Jamestown. They always took good care of their father Red and would bring him to these events. Last time I saw Red he was in his 90's and sleeping on my courch while fireworks were popping just outside! Earl was the quiet one, but a brilliant fellow who sent me many emails that helped me understand our Constitution.
Both Steve and Earl worked tirelessly to preserve our right to celebrate Independence Day with fireworks and I urge everyone to watch their award-winning video. Will miss you a lot Earl and think of you often.

We lost someone dear to our community and to America. Earl was our GOP Chairman, in Battle Mountain, Nevada. He was always doing things others should have done. Enjoyed taking Ham Radio classes with him. He put me to shame with his high IQ! He had the biggest heart! He was teachable. I convinced him to vote for someone and he was very tender about how this person had proven to be. We developed a friendship, because we both loved our community, state, America and our God above. Earl was a humble and loving brother. He loved Steven and was always concerned for him. I truly believe Earl is watching over us all and feeling our loss and love. He reigns on high and is reunited with his loving parents.!I am so grateful my husband and I got to know Earl. Rest In Peace, Earl. You forever will be an American Patriot.

Earl Cassorla my fraternity brother, one of the smartest men I knew. Left this Earth way too early. You'll be very much missed.
The original hamburgler, you that know him will know what I'm talking about. About 20 years ago, Earl came back to the fraternity house to join us all, you guessed it, he brought the biggest firework he could fit in the trunk of his car. Yes, at midnight we went behind the fieldhouse overlooking this town of Troy. We all surrounded the trunk of his car and as he opened it, we all actually backed away when we saw the size of the firework. Earl in his classic poker-face looked at us and said, "Too big?" And with that he commenced setting it up with a small trajectory towards the town. After telling us to clear and be ready to clear out of Dodge after it was done, he lit this baby and trust me, even Earl was shocked in the enormity of this monster. After 3 seconds he says, "Let's get out of here." Let me say this, every police officer on duty and off duty was at the scene of the crime within minutes, but Earl calculated the 3 seconds just right. We were back at the house just as the police came. I'll miss you my friend and we will see each other again. Be kind to them in heaven with your pranks until they get to know you.

Earl was quiet and reserved in demeanor, but it was a deceptive appearance: there was so much going on inside his head, and you never knew where he was going to go with it. But you did know one thing: unlike most pranksters, he would never do anything malicious. I regret I never made it out to Battle Mountain to visit, but I’m glad I got to spend two years with him in the Pike house at RPI, so long ago. Rest well, brother.

Steve and Cassorla family and relatives:
I would like to express my sincere sympathy on the loss of Earl. We were good friends at Irondequoit High School, and attended many of the same advanced math and science classes. I even kept in touch with him during college, where I attended SUNY Albany and he was attending RPI. Few people in my life have made me laugh as hard as he did. Earl's final prank on the last day of high school is legendary and required great engineering skill. I was glad to see that he turned his passion into a successful business. I saw Earl last at the 40th IHS reunion where he gave me some samples of his store products which I fully tested in a legal status in my home of VA. I have now moved to PA, and was looking forward to hearing of his new exploits at the upcoming 45th IHS reunion this summer. There is a special place in heaven for Earl, who put so many smiles on our faces while growing up. I will try to attend his funeral services to express my sympathy in person.
