Obituary of Jeanne R. Hurwitz

Passed away on October 24, 2018, at the age of 90. Predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Raymond; parents, Nathan and Fanny (Stavsky) Astman; brothers, Emile, Gerald and George Astman; sisters, Suzanne Astman and Phyllis Karpel. Survived by her daughter, Cindy (Stephen); sons, Scott (Caryn) and Greg (Kim); grandchildren, Nicole, Margaux, Chase, Reese and Cameron; great-grandson, Axel; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Special thanks to all of Jeanne's companions and caregivers at The Jewish Home. 
 

Jeanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, home maker, friend and confidant to many. As a young woman, she was an accomplished artist/fashion illustrator who also enjoyed tennis, golf, bowling and cards. Jeanne was an extraordinary gardener, cook and baker who always put a smile on people's faces with her delicious home baked pies. 
 

Jeanne's Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on MONDAY October 29, 2018 in the Sanctuary at Temple B'rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Avenue. Click HERE for a map to Temple.

Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 104 Council Rock Avenue in Brighton on Monday from 3 - 7 PM. Click HERE for a map to the family home.
