Obituary of Gilbert "Gillie" Fix

September 20, 2018 at the age of 81. Predeceased by his parents, Bessie & Eli Fix. He is survived by his brother, Elliot (Tamar) Fix; nephew, Dr. Oren (Amy) Fix & nieces, Shira (David) Friedman & Ronit Fix. 

Gilbert was much loved by his nephew & nieces and he loved being a proud uncle. He was an avid hiker & gardener who happily helped friends with their gardens. He was selfless & generous with his time & possessions. He had many interests including art, travel, classical music, film, books & ethnic foods. He worked at the Seneca Park Zoo, where he was praised for his strong commitment and valued stewardship.

The family wishes to express profound gratitude to the physicians & nurses for their wonderful & compassionate care at Pluta Cancer Center, Wilmot Cancer Center & the Palliative Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital.
