Caroline, Amy and Peter,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Having recently lost my own father, I know what a difficult time this can be. Let the memories of his love for you and your love for him guide you through this trying time. I only had the pleasure of meeting Alan 3-4 times in the years my brother and Amy have been together, but know that he was a good, loving, and kind man - and that he will be missed not only by you, but by all those whose lives he touched. Take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. "...at the end of the storm is a golden sky, and the sweet silver song of the lark..." Take care of and love each other always.
