Sandy was a gentle man, always smiled when we saw him, and always took interest in us, our children, and especially our daughter, Jennifer, to whom he was so kind when she was at the Eastman School of Music. He deserved more from life than he may have received and certainly gave much to others. There's an old saying - "our days are scrolls; write on them what you want remembered." Sandy loved his family, relished in family gatherings, was a good and caring man, crafted beautiful jewelry for us and so many others, and I never recall him uttering words in anger, even against people who had wronged him. He was humble in a world filled with too much hubris, caring in a world that is too often cruel. He invited me into the family with a full heart, and he is missed with a heavy heart. His scroll has memories that describe a very special person.
