Obituary of George V. Lesser

George V. Lesser, D.D.S. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at age 92. He is predeceased by his Wife, Neysa Hayman And sisters. He is survived by his loving Children, Jean (Jack) Schanker, George Robert (Margo) Lesser & Allan (Karen) Lesser Grandchildren, David & Michael Schanker, Scott, Kira, Alex, Samantha & Bobbi Lesser Great Grandchildren, Noah & Zachary. Born in New York City, he was a graduate of the University of Buffalo Dental School and practiced dentistry in Buffalo, New York for 50 years. He was the Editor of the 8th District Dental Society Bulletin and was awarded the William J. Gies Editorial Award by the American Association of Dental Editors. He was a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. George was Intercollegiate Fencing Champion at NYU and was elected to the University of Buffalo Athletic Association Hall of Fame for Fencing. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 11 AM at Mt. Hope Cemetery, in the Temple Sinai Section (Range 10). Click here for directions to Mt. Hope Cemetery.
