Obituary of Janet Karz

Janet Karz (Wasserman) Passed away on February 14, 2015 at age 97. Predeceased by devoted son, Laurence, brothers, Arthur and Arnold Wasserman, and her former husband, Milton Karz. Survived by her loving sons, Roger (Maria), Robert (Myrna) and Richard (Julie) Karz; daughter-in-law, Anne Karz; grandchildren, Sara (Forest) Reid, Lisa (Michael) Kosoff, Jeffrey Ethan (Stephanie) Bull, Mirabelle, Alexander and Gregory Karz; great grandchildren, Natania, Avi, Wyatt, Clara and Ori; nieces and nephews, and her very dear friend and companion, Brian McDermott. Janet was a graduate of Cornell University, a model and talented potter. During WWII she volunteered as a driver for the Red Cross and later at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. She loved the arts, films, theater, books, golf and travel. A Memorial Service will be held on TUESDAY at 11:30 AM at Brighton Memorial Chapel, Inc. located at 3325 Winton Road South. Click here for a map to the Funeral Home.
