Obituary of Beverly L. Schaffer

Beverly Lois Schaffer Rochester, NY: Passed away on July 11, 2008 at St. John's Nursing Home, at age 84. Predeceased by husband Bill; son, Kurt; brother, Philip Stark; and parents, Frances & Max Stark. She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Lee Donnelly and Karen Jill Quinn; her wonderful son-in-law, Paul Quinn; her grandchildren who she adored, David Max (Renee) Combs, Eric Daniel Combs, Jill Briana Donnelly & Michael Joshua Donnelly; her 3 special grandchildren, Mason, Drew and Ryan Combs. A graduate of Albany Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Beverly won the "Best Bedside Manner" award. Beverly was a deeply caring friend, sensitive nurse, talented bridge player and was passionate about gardening and her dolls. She shared her gifts of humor and love of life with all that knew her. Your family and your many friends will miss you deeply, Beverly. Funeral Services will take place on Sunday, July 13, 2008 at 3 PM at Congregation Gates of Heaven, 852 Ashmore Avenue, Schenectady, New York 12309, where a period of mourning will also be observed on Monday, July 14th from 11 AM - 1 PM.
