Dear Christine:
Thank you for taking the time to personally inform us of Ruth's passing.
I am sure that this is as big a loss to you as when your Grandmother passed away. You were lucky enough to have 2 grandmothers. I'm sure this is also extremely difficult and sad for your Mom, Dad and brothers as well.
We sold our Westminster house only 10 years ago but it seems like forever. We remember meeting Ruth and Mary for the first time when we moved into our house on March 17th, 1978. Ruth invited us to a St. Patrick's Day party that night starting a great friendship thatlasted
for the 20 years we owned our home. We watched you kids grow up and attended many parties, most memorable was our final going away party. That really showed us how truly special our relationship with Ruth and Mary was.
I really wish I could arrange to fly up to attend the service but I have meetings at city hall both Monday and Tuesday that I cannot miss. I have become a community activist and neighborhood leader here in Miami Beach.
Patrick, just like in Rochester, is a home body and never goes anyplace.
We never know what paths our lives will take. We have become great supporters of art and culture and advocates for quality of life issues
within our neighborhood. Who would have thunk?
Anyway, please know our prayers will be with you and your family. We will send a donation to honor Ruth and our years of friendship to her family foundation.
We will bow our heads and say a prayer for Ruth at 2 PM tomorrow, just as if we were there. We will be there, in spirit.
Love,
Ray and Patrick
