Dear Family: Stan and I had a long association through Sport--and I am very sad learning he has passed away. I was in Colorado at the time--and I know of his connection to Colorado--and Colorado State University..
Stan,Les Harrison, and I had a mutual association through many sporting events--and enjoyed each others company when we were together at these events.
My deepest condolences to all of his family.

Stan was a good story teller, kind, interesting to speak with, and a heck of a ping pong player. My sons loved to talk sports with him and learn about Jewish basketball players. Our family will miss him. We want to send our love and prayers for healing to Sue and his entire family.

Dear Sue, Bruce and Ron,
We were so sorry to hear about Stan. I have so many wonderful memories of Stan after
working with him for 18 years. He was my first boss at the JCC and taught me well.
I especially remember his wonderful smile and good naturedness. Stan was the emcee at my
retirement party and I often look at those pictures with great fondness. The staff was
like family during the years that I worked there, and our friendship continued even after I moved
to Florida. We always got together for lunch when I came back to Rochester to visit, and also several
times when you came to Florida. Joel and I would like to offer our deepest and heartfelt sympathy to
your entire family.

Dear Sue, Ronny and Bruce,
On behalf of my entire family, I offer our most sincere condolences. Stan was an all time favorite of everyone in the Goldstein family. He was such a good man! It was wonderful to see him two times over the past year at the JCC gala and also at the JCC campership golf tournament. I enjoyed catching up with him so much. Stan was a caring man and every time I saw him, he made sure to ask how our entire family was doing, especially my father. I have such great memories of him throughout my lifetime. You are all so fortunate to have had such a kind and beautiful man as the patriarch of your family
All my best,
Dan Goldstein

Stan Albert, or Papa as I used to call him , was an incredible and loving man. I married his son Barry in 1982 and my life has been so enriched since then. His incredible kindness and devotion to all of us has been such a blessing and I am eternally grateful to him and to Sue for giving me Barry and for his love and devotion/guidance he showed to my sons, Daniel and Ben. i will miss him always. Stan Albert, a wonderful man who performed Mitzvas every day of his life and who was beloved by so many. May he rest in peace. Good night Papa.

I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Although I only had a few visits with Stan, I truly enjoyed our time together. I remember how proud he seemed to show me his awards and how happy he seemed when I admired the Jewish memorabilia in the home. May you take comfort in the memories of the times you shared together and may his memory be for a blessing.

While the accompanying obituary covers as lot of very worth ground, allow me to add a bit more. I am who I am today in no small part due to the kindness and guidance Stan showed and save me through most of the last 44 years. Why he chose to hire me to work a the then-new JCC is still not entirely clear, but I knew I needed to return his faith, and I am better for the opportunity. He was a boss, mentor and friend in equal parts. Stan would show himself to be fair and (sometimes brutally) honest in all his dealings with me. I learned accountability and perseverance through Stan's tuti ledge in addition to some great stories, and no less than one joke which will always tick with me. Thank you Stanley, for everything, and thanks to Sue for sharing him so well; and to Rob, Bruce and Barry (of blessed memory) for being a huge part of his life, and mine.
