Anatoliy Zeldich

August 23, 2017 Rochester, NY, after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Predeceased by his parents, Grigoriy and Sophia Zeldich, wife Eleonora Zeldich, and sister Alexandra Novogrebelski,

Survived by wife and caring partner, Jenny Gerner; daughters, Olga Strelnikova and Svetlana Gerner; grandchildren, Tatyana (Igor) Orlovich, Alex (Rivka) Strelnikov, Lily Malykhina; nephew, Grigoriy Novogrebelsky; great grandchildren and extended but closely knit family.

Born in Ukraine in 1936, Anatoliy survived the war and had become a pillar of strength for his family. An electrical engineer and a creative inventor, he enjoyed playing chess, studying history, photography, and drawing. He loved fixing anything he could in the house or car.  He liked to drive and spent vacations traveling with the family around the country and the world. He was a patient instructor and a "chauffeur" for the youngsters, and a proud great grandfather of three. He will be greatly missed by family and friends and will be remembered as a loving and caring, yet strong and determined man.

Graveside service Sunday, August 27, 2017, at 12:30 PM at Mt. Hope Cemetery. No prior calling hours at his request. 

Following the funeral, the family will receive relatives and friends at George's (1601 Penfield Rd.) at  2 PM.
