Dear Aron, Bob and families, we send our love and sympathy to you. We will miss Dave's gentle presence, insights and friendship. Opening e-mails will not be the same without your Papuu's forwards and notes. Betty and Dave were the perfect counterpoint to one another and it seems fitting that Betty would be shepherded through her life's close before being joined by her beloved. They spoke of each family member often and with such pride. May the love they gave so freely be a part of each of you always.

1/12/09 I am deeply saddened by the lost of both Dave and Betty--two incredible people who have been and will always live on in my heart. We were close family friends who kept in touch from my childhood and throughout these many years. While I have not visited Rochester often, we always made a conscious effort to get together whenever I was there. I send healing thoughts and wishes to Aron, Robert, and their families. Love, Joanne

Betty often described Dave as a
"contented man" -- without acknowledging the fact that she and the family were largely responsible for that very contentment. Dave was indeed happy, whether it was sitting at the piano, harvesting his peppers, playing cards with friends or walking hand-in-hand with Betty.
They always seemed like one entity and it proves to me that a broken heart CAN be fatal.

As a patient of Dr. Conway in the 1950s, an office assistant during the summer, and a baby sitter for Aron and cousin Andy on Vassar St, I am deepen saddened by Dr. C's passing, but celebrate his life and gentle presence to so many suffering individuals. My sympathy and prayers for all the family: "The Lord bless you and keep you...The Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace!" (Numbers 6)

Back in the mid 50's my mother took me to see Dr. Conway for a chronic ingrown toenail. I will always remember what a gentle, kind, and caring person he was. He will be sadly missed by everyoneLinda.

Our hearts go out to the family of Dr. Conway. They have lost so much in such a short time.
My parents have been friends of the Conways for over 50 years - memories they will treasure always.
