Obituary of Phyllis Mills

Phyllis Mills Passed away November 10, 2010 at age 82. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Sheldon Mills; children, Susan Mills, Marlene (Jerry) Bernstein & Mitchell (Marc Sweet) Mills; grandsons, Wayne (Wendy) Minges, Jesse (Danielle) Minges, Wiley (Angel Isaac) Minges, Ari (Stephanie) Bernstein, & Brian Bernstein; great-grandchildren, Kali, Macy, Kailyn, Hannah, Tavian, Latrell, Mason & Madison; sister, Betty Duckman; brother, Norman (Leslie) Bilfield; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Phyllis was known throughout Rochester as a fabulous baker of specialty cakes and especially her famous cheesecakes served in many local restaurants. She was also a talented artist whose paintings were on display at local art shows. She loved music and theatre and was actively involved in the Temple Beth El theatre productions for many years. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong friend to many and was dearly loved by all who knew her. Graveside services will be held FRIDAY (Today) at 12 Noon at Mt. Hope Cemetery. (Click for a Map to the Cemetery) Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the entrance to the cemetery at 11:45 AM. The family will receive friends at 776 Surrey Hill Way, Henrietta (Click for a Map to the House), FRIDAY 1:00 - 4:00 PM.
