Obituary of Bella Barg

On November 4, 2016 at age 95. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon; brothers Alex and Morris Steinman. She is survived by her children, Frances Barg, Murray (Monique McNally) Barg; grandson, Ishai Nardia; nieces, nephews and many friends. Beloved Bella passed away after a six year struggle with dementia. Her kind nature was evident to the end. An accomplished artist and seamstress; she leaves a treasured collection of oil paintings and ceramics. From childhood, in the Lower East Side, she loved to create with her hands. Worked as a "Rosy" during WWII in machine shops, jewelry and sewing factories in NYC. After Leon's retirement, they rehabbed a home in the 19th ward and proudly lived there until the end. Graveside service will be held in Stone Road Cemetery (Pearson Street Entrance). on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 10 AM.
