Obituary of Florence B. Strauss

Florence B. Strauss Passed away on January 13, 2014 at 83. Predeceased by her parents, Abe & Tillie Sax & brother-in-law, Larry Kaminsky. Survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Philip; daughters, Adryann & Wendy (Avraham ben Yishai); sister, Claire Kaminsky & several nieces & nephews. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Florence was a lifelong Brooklyn Dodgers fan, former president of Roosevelt Women's Democratic Club; longtime election inspector and Town of Irondequoit & Monroe County employee. Volunteer since childhood for, and supporter of many political & social causes and Jewish organizations. Mom loved her dogs and was kind & generous to all animals. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Jewish Home, especially 4 SW for their excellent and very kind care of Flo. Funeral & interment were held in New Montefiore Cemetery, Long Island, NY.
