May I add my sincere condolences to the whole family. It is my hope that in this time of grief, and while you all are now experiencing the emptiness that comes with the loss of a loved one, that you will soon find peace in your hearts. May fond memories of husband, father and grandfather help you heal.

Hal was my long time supervisor at Eastman Kodak's Research & Engineering division. In addition to being a gifted engineer, Hal served as a tremendous mentor to me personally. For nearly two decades, I could always count on his honest assessment of a situation, as we interfaced daily on a wide variety of work projects. His guidance and leadership helped me grow in my engineering career.
I valued my time with Hal in more than just a professional capacity. He was an understanding supervisor while I had a young family and a good listener on many occasions as my family grew and our lives changed. After his retirement, he liked to join the 'old vibration lab crew' for occasional lunches. I only regret not having more time recently to interact with him.
His death will live a large void in my heart. I thank God for bringing Hal into my life and for his friendship over these many years.
