Obituary of Betty I. Kundin

Betty I. Kundin (Landis) "Granny" Fairport: Betty passed away peacefully on February 10, 2009 at age 91. She is predeceased by her husband Larry, father Max Landis and mother Lucile. She is survived by her sons David (Delia) and Pete (Molly), Grandchildren Tori, Jillian, and Allen, sisters Maxine and Gerry and numerous nieces and nephews who loved their “Auntie B”. A 1952 graduate of Michigan State College, Betty retired in 1976 from Monroe County DSS as the supervisor for Medicaid and Food stamps with a staff of around 100 social workers under her direction. Betty initiated the Medicaid program for the county. Betty and Larry traveled extensively together for over 50 years. Our thanks to everyone at Perinton Park Manor, especially Peg Manske, and the Palliative Care Team at Strong Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 2 PM in Mt.
