Obituary of Irving Pheterson
November 26, 2013. Predeceased by his parents Harry (Eva) Pheterson; brother, Alvin Pheterson. Survived by his sister, Irene (Harold) Schwartz; sister-in-law, Lois; nieces, Beth (Christopher) Sardone, Bonni (Paul) Havill & Pamela (Rob) Gerthoffer; nephew, Steven (Roberta) Pheterson; great nieces & nephews, Joshua (Melissa) Pheterson, Gregory (Megan) Pheterson, Molly (Conor) Cunningham, Melissa Havill, Harley Havill, David Sardone, Timothy Sardone & Jaclynn Sardone; great-great nieces & nephews, Eli Pheterson, Samuel Pheterson, Abigail Pheterson & Dillon Havill; very close cousins Della & Sharon Cerasoli along with other loving family members.
Irving obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester and continued his studies at McGill University in Montreal Canada where he obtained a Master’s degree in Mathematics. After completing his graduate studies Irving joined the Army and faithfully served his country until his discharge when he enrolled in Syracuse University Law School. Irving practiced law in Rochester, New York for over 50 years with a significant number of devoted clients. In his personal life he was devoted to his family and was an accomplished photographer and world traveler.
Funeral services will be held, FRIDAY, 2 PM at Temple Beth El (139 Winton Rd S View Map) Interment, White Haven Memorial Park. Friends wishing may contribute to the Jewish Home Foundation or Syracuse University College of Law. A period of mourning will be observed Saturday 6-8 PM and Sunday 2-4 PM at 175 Glen Ellyn Way, 14618.
