Obituary of Frances W. Lederman (Wolf)
At the age of 97, formerly of Rochester, NY and Delray Beach, FL passed away on February 26, 2017 in Arlington, VA.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Lederman of Arlington, daughters and sons-in-law Debbie and Steve Cohen of Annandale, VA and Marsha Lederman and Art Schwartz of Arlington, VA and grandchildren Zachary and Genna Schwartz, both of Brooklyn, NY.
Fran was born in Rochester and attended East High and RIT, majoring in art. After designing lenses at Kodak during World War II, she and Harry ran the innovative Wolf’s Market on East Avenue for nearly four decades. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling to countries around the globe with Harry, but especially to France. She was a life-long Francophile having traveled with her mother when she was 7 and again when she was 9 to France, Russia, Poland and Lithuania to visit relatives. She was an accomplished sculptor and filled their homes with beautiful clay figures.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 3:30 PM in the Knights of Pythias section of Britton Road Cemetery.
