As an old friend of Lewis' (from grade school in NYC), I knew Zelda and Harold well. Thinking of the good times we had together brings back many happy memories of Lewis and his parents. We saw Lewis not long ago at a party and spoke about Zelda and Harold then. Walter Gray forwarded Lewis' email to me so I could send this note. Judy and I extend our condolences to Lewis and his family, and particularly to Harold, who I remember with great affection.

Hi all you wonderful Ward's. You all know how much I love you & loved Zelda. But do you know how jealous I am that you got to have her in your lives for so long? What a gift. And thank you for allowing me to share in your family. Zelda was an amazing woman, & all the stories about their lives that Zelda & Harold shared with me over the years will hold a special place in my heart forever & ever.
