Sophia "Shirley" Rosenbaum (Gover) A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & great-great-grandmother, passed away on September 17, 2014 at the age of 103. Shirley is predeceased by her loving husband, Jack; parents, Max & Bessie Gover; brother, Norman Gover; & son-in-law, Charles Lestin. Survived by her devoted children, Richard (Judith) Rosenbaum & Elise Lestin; 6 grandchildren, Amy (Kevin) Steklof, Jill (Jack) Ascher, Matthew (Hope) Rosenbaum, Julie (Eric) Skolnick, Eric (Jani) Lestin, Martha (Burt) Kleinman; 18 great-grandchildren, Michael Steklof, Jason, Steklof, Jessica Steklof, Talia Ascher, Alex Ascher, Ilana Ascher, Jacob Rosenbaum, Madeline Rosenbaum, Lily Rosenbaum, Benjamin Rosenbaum, Dalia Skolnick, Avi Skolnick, Eitan Skolnick, David (Jill) Kleinman, Jonathan (Stephanie) Kleinman, Jill (Gabriel) Pritz, Abby Lestin & Lauren Lestin; and 2 great-great grandchildren, Isabel Elise Kleinman and Maxwell John Lestin. Born in Oswego, NY, Shirley's family was the love of her life. The family wishes to express its appreciation for the wonderful care given to her from the staff at Wolk Manor & Strong Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be held TODAY-FRIDAY on September 19, 2014 at 10 AM in the Sanctuary of Temple Beth El where she had been a member for over 70 years. Click here for a map to the Temple.
