Obituary of Harold S. Feinbloom

Harold S. Feinbloom A long-time resident of the Town of Brighton, died on Friday, May 16, 2014, at the Jewish Home of Rochester. He was 85. Harold was predeceased by his brother, Philip W. Feinbloom, and his parents, Helen and Abe Feinbloom, co founder of Champion Products. Harold was Vice-President of Champion Products and was one of the originators of Champion Europe. After his retirement from Champion, Harold turned his attention to the needs of the Rochester community. He was noted for his great generosity as well as for his commitment to volunteer leadership at many of Rochester's finest institutions. He served on the boards of The RPO, Hillside Children’s Center, The Al Sigl Community of Agencies, and the Jewish Community Federation of Rochester, and was a founder of The Genesee Valley Trust Company. Harold was a devoted friend of Israel and visited many times. He was active in Rotary. He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Joan; sons & daughters-in-law, David & Lisa Feinbloom of Bloomfield Hills, MI & Stephen & Rose Feinbloom of Wadhams, NY; grandchildren, Daniel, Rose & Ruby; many friends and family. Harold's quick wit, spontaneous poetry recitations, generosity, curiosity for languages and cultures, love of travelling, and stories about his family made him beloved by those who knew him. Funeral Services will be held in the Sanctuary of Temple B’rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Ave) on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 2 PM. Click here for directions to the temple. A Private Interment will take place following the funeral at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at their home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The family will receive friends at their home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

Service Info

Funeral Services will be held in the Sanctuary of Temple B’rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Ave) on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 2 PM.

Interment

A Private Interment for the immediate family ONLY will take place following the funeral at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
