Obituary of Alan S. Weinberg
Alan S. Weinberg
April 7, 2016 at age 83 with his family at his side. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank G. Weinberg and Mary Weinberg Bernstein and sister, Dolores Neivert. Survived by his loving wife, Irene (Friedman) Weinberg of 62 years; devoted children, Fran (Steven) Studley, Douglas Weinberg of Phoenix, AZ; adored grandchildren, Rachel Studley, Jessica (Kenneth) Stavalone, and Lauren and Danielle Weinberg of California; great-granddaughters, Madison and Sophie Stavalone; brother-in-law, Philip Neivert; sister-in-law, Carol (Stuart) Felderstein of Baltimore, MD; also many nieces and nephews.
Alan was the Vice President and Secretary of DAW's Drug Stores. He was an avid tennis player, who loved living in Arizona and Hawaii. He and a friend founded the Rochester clown unit for the Shriner's, which continues today. He felt great joy knowing they touched so many lives in hospitals, nursing homes and at the Shrine Circus. He will be remembered as a kind, loving, well-respected and generous man, who was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to his very special caregivers for their exceptional care during his illness.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, Aril 10, 2016 at 1 PM in the Benjamin Goldstein Chapel of Temple B'rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Ave.). Click here for directions. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery.
